Applications Administration Assistant Manager

GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Administrate applications functions of The Bank.
  2. Manage Applications performance and disk usage.
  3. Configure, install, test, and maintain applications and their associated software such as WebSphere application server, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat and IIS applications.
  4. Accountable for applications proper backup and disaster recovery procedures incorporations with Systems Infrastructure teams,
  5. Work with development teams to plan and promote changes to production.
  6. Coordinate and manage patching and other policies while adhering to company-wide policies
  7. Ability to closely work with System Administrators and Product Owners for continuing support of Server Applications
  8. Ensure that applications adhered with security standards and polices.
  9. Designs and implements applications architectures and its related capacity planning.
  10. Identification and resolution of technical problems and malfunctions related to applications administration.
  11. Act as technical lead for classified A projects.
  12. Act as project manager and technical lead for classified C projects.
  13. Provide guidance, support & help to juniors administrators.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
  • ITIL / ISO 20K Certification is desired

Knowledge:

  • Unix/Linux/Solaris Administration
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server Administration, Weblogic, Apache Tomcat and IIS.
  • SharePoint Administration.
  • Oracle and MSSQL database administration
  • Wide experience in management of applications. 
  • Working knowledge and experience of banking IT operations and related problems
  • Project Management.

Experience

  • 5-8 years’ IT Experience.
  • Experience analyzing information and driving resolution.
  • Experience interpreting and supporting IT and Business Processes.
