Job Purpose

To oversee core banking systems and provide IT support for business process improvement initiatives, including analyzing current processes and designing new, efficient workflows.

Generic Accountabilities

2. Corporate Governance and Compliance Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks
Policies & Processes: Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures and conduct regular reviews to remain relevant and effective.
Risk Management: Work alongside Risk Management in ensuring that the function works fully within the set frameworks, proactively monitor and report on risk exposure in order to enhance control effectiveness.
Compliance: Work fully within ABK’s Compliance regulations and standards.

Specific Accountabilities

•    Requirements Management: Define and manage the requirements for core banking applications, preparing specifications and aligning available applications with business needs.
•    Parameter Maintenance: Maintain and configure parameters for the Finacle core banking system across various business areas, serving as the primary contact for queries, ensuring version control, and resolving related issues in collaboration with functional teams.
•    Solution Management: Identify or source applications that meet user specifications while being cost-effective and compatible with existing systems.
•    Testing and Development: Conduct application testing in collaboration with users, performing risk assessments and preparing comprehensive rollout programs.
•    Rollout Management: Oversee the implementation of solutions, managing project timelines, communication, and training initiatives to ensure successful adoption.
•    Sourcing and Supplier Management: Manage the sourcing of applications, fostering relationships with suppliers and consultants to ensure optimal delivery of solutions.
•    Business Relationship Management: Proactively engage with business units to identify their needs and address concerns regularly. Provide consistent updates to both IT and business stakeholders.
 

Job Success Factors

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience

Experience

•    At least 9 years IT experience
•    System operations and development experience in the banking sector. 
•    Development experience in the major technologies

Skills

Project management planning and experience. 
Audit and risk management awareness
IT performance and quality management techniques
