Job Purpose

To Ensure all fixed assets activities are adhering to ABK expenditure control policy. Handle activities involved with fixed asset inventory for ABK. Ensure a proper reports, systematic log, data entry and documentation filing of all physical inventories.

Generic Accountabilities

1. People Management Supervise employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.

Specific Accountabilities

  1. Fixed Assets & Inventory Control: Manage the month end closure for fixed assets and ensure timely and accurate completion.
  2. Supervise the groundwork of items for storage, removal or transfer.
  3. Conduct frequently physical count / verifications of all assets in ABK.
  4. Verify and validate inventory list using a purchase order number, serial number, date of purchase etc.
  5. Record Management: Ensure a retained up-to-date record of all Fixed Assets items across ABK
  6. Reporting: Generate fixed assets related reports to be reviewed and approved by Manager – Engineering.
  7. Report on any discrepancies to Facilities Management and follow up and ensure remedial actions taken. 
  8. Ensure all documents related to inventory control are updated properly and prepared for audit.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience in Business Administration and Management

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in inventory management; ability to prepare excel format and ensure correct data entry.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.
