Job Purpose

Handle ABK and client money markets activities to optimise profit within risk parameters

Generic Accountabilities

1. People Management Supervise employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.

Specific Accountabilities

  1. Dealing Deal in local and international markets to secure best pricing and optimise profitability 
  2. Liquidity Management Manage bank (Kuwait, UAE and Egypt) regulatory liquidity ratios (LDR, LCR, and NSFR) to comply with CBK and Bank policy.
  3. Cash Management: Manage bank (Kuwait, UAE and Group) cash liquidity Gap buckets, optimize funding from Treasury Customers to achieve multiple goals including
    • (a) stagger maturity dates to avoid bunching
    • (b) reduce COF
    • (c) Ensure diversification of bank wide deposit base  to reduce concentration . 
  4. Quotations Provide quotations to corporates to ensure enhanced volumes and profitability
  5. Daily rates Manage the updating and communication of money markets rates to optimize volumes and profitability
  6. Money market positions Handle money market positions through market transactions
  7. Transaction settlement Handle transactional processes to ensure accurate, effective settlement 
  8. Reporting Produce internal and external reports in line with regulations and internal requirements 

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience in Finance

Experience

  • 4 years of post-qualification experience in Treasury

Skills

  • Knowledge of dealing techniques and practices
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management
