Job Purpose

To actively oversee the delivery of business intelligence solutions tailored to customer specifications, and to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of business intelligence systems and data governance practices.

Specific Accountabilities

•    Delivery Management: Efficiently oversee the timely delivery of tailored business intelligence solutions according to customer specifications, coordinating team efforts to ensure prompt delivery and achieve customer satisfaction by meeting specified deadlines and requirements.
•    System Development and Implementation: Lead the development and deployment of business intelligence systems, directing the agile development process and overseeing the seamless implementation of robust BI systems to ensure the successful deployment of efficient and scalable solutions.
•    Data Governance Maintenance: Maintain data integrity and quality through effective data governance practices, establishing and enforcing data governance policies and standards to uphold data integrity and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of business intelligence data.
•    Report Management: Ensure the availability of necessary data and information for generating intelligence and reports. Establish quality control over business object reports released by the Business Intelligence unit.
•    BI Data Integrity: Maintain data integrity to establish the Business Intelligence unit as a reliable source of information.
•    Customer-Focused Reporting: Deliver reports that meet user requirements and ensure follow-up with added value to enhance customer service.
•    BI Systems Development and Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain business intelligence systems to meet stakeholders’ requirements. Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the control structure and processes within the BI unit, including security, user access, data retention rules, and confidentiality.
•    Application Development and Maintenance: Develop in-house applications to fulfill specific business reporting needs. Handle maintenance and version upgrades of developed applications.
•    Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot reported issues in data models and reports.
•    Provide both short- and long-term fixes to ensure continuous functionality.
•    Collaboration with ETL Team: Collaborate with the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) team in the development of new ETL programs to support business intelligence initiatives
 

Job Success Factors

Education

MBA or Masters Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience

Experience

Minimum 3 years professional experience 

 Banking sector experience is preferable

Skills


•    Experience in BI Reporting Tools and database management roles
•    Experience of advising on business intelligence related issues.
•    MS SQL, SAP BO BI, MS POWER BI tools skills
